1. A spot just opened up for the Sacred Heart tournament on 3/21 (Sat). If your team is interested, please contact me asap (no later than noon tomorrow 3/13).
2. Upcoming events: tournament information for Sacred Heart (3/21), Temple-A (3/21), and 3/21 @ UMass-Lowell will be sent out by 10 pm Friday (3/13) to the participating teams.
3. NWVCL Central Division Divisional Championship will be held on 3/28 (Sat) @ Siena. Total of 8 teams will be invited. Siena will be an automatic qualifier as the host.
Qualification:
o To be eligible for postseason selection, a team must compete in a minimum of three (3) league tournaments:
At least one league tournament in the fall semester
At least two league tournaments in the spring semester
o The host school automatically qualifies for the championship (taking one of the eight available spots)
o The next five teams are selected based on highest total points earned throughout the fall and spring season
o The final two teams are selected based on highest point average
o If a team is unable to participate in the Divisional Championship the next eligible team will be offered the open spot, determined by the next highest total points among teams that meet postseason eligibility requirements
o If the league is able to secure a 3-court facility, we will invite an additional 4 teams based on highest total points earned in the league divisional standings
The invitation for the Central Division Championship will be sent out early morning Sunday, March 22nd. If you are one of the top teams potentially eligible, please plan accordingly. If your team is planning on headed to Nationals, your skipping the league divisional championship will hurt your placement and seeding.
4. DO NOT send any money for the Divisional Championship. This event is covered by your general dues.
